Flow Community

Flow is a business community for all non-parents; whether you’re childfree, childless or don’t use those labels at all.
Working for yourself can be lonely, and meeting new people is part of the gig. But it’s not always so much fun when new connections ask intrusive questions about your parental status or only want to talk about their kids.
We don’t do that at Flow, because none of us have children so the topic rarely comes up. We get straight into the stuff that lights you up - what are you working on right now? What are your plans for your business or freelance life?
And we don’t revolve around the school holidays (we generally have no idea when they are!)

You might have kids in your life; stepchildren, nieces and nephews, or even young siblings. But you’re not a parent and you’d rather not get into the reasons why.
That’s cool, we’d rather talk about your business, too.
By joining Flow, you’re helping childless and childfree professionals support each other in what can often be a pronatalist* environment.
If you’re already in other business groups with parents and non-parents, that’s awesome – Flow isn’t divisive and we value everyone’s contribution to the business community.
But every couple of weeks, it’s nice to be in a space where the subject of parenting doesn’t come up.

Membership to Flow is £15 (or you can pay a little more and support other professionals with financial barriers to joining) which gives you:
- Access to fortnightly online meetings, including guest speakers and gentle networking.
- Archive of guest speaker video replays.
- A special members-only channel on Discord.
- A warm fuzzy feeling from supporting this project.

If you’d rather just bag the free stuff, that’s fine, too. You can join us on Discord for free (click below), where we regularly discuss whatever's on our minds. It’s a place to chat with other freelancers and business owners, knowing the conversation will never be about kids.

*Pronatalism definition: the policy or practice of encouraging the bearing of children, especially government support of a higher birth rate.
